B.TECH IN ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERING

Environmental Engineering is a new branch of engineering which has led by enormous increase in environmental pollution across the globe. Pollution control, Toxic materials control, Water supply related problems, hazardous waste management and other significant topics in this field are the environment related topics that are dealt in this course. To ameliorate environment this course applies principles of science. The course is primarily a four year program which is split into 4 parts, each consisting a year. Because there is requirement & urgency of maintaining healthy water, air and land for the habitants. This course is of great importance in our country.



ELIGIBILITY

Those who have completed their higher secondary exams with Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics with a minimum aggregate of 50% are eligible for this course.

 HOW MUCH WOULD IT COST ME?

A BTech in environmental engineering costs more than Rs 3 lakhs to candidates. This fee is all-inclusive of hostel and library charges. Fee is charged semester wise.

WHAT AN ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER DOES

Environmental engineers apply combined methods of science and engineering to improve the environment so that people have access to healthy water, air and land suitable for human existence. Environmental engineers specialize in basic sciences, economics, social sciences, ecology and radiology. An efficient professional engaged in an environmental engineering firm is supposed to design, maintain and construct waste management systems so that urban and rural areas can be put healthy. As the country is going through high level of environmental pollution so it is the task of environmental engineers to analyze this problem. 

IS IT THE RIGHT CAREER FOR ME?

It will demand you to think with passion rather than your brains recognizing your potentialities in mind determining whether the environmental engineering career is an appropriate career for you. It is definitely an appropriate field for you to go for if you are enthusiastic about the environment and if atmosphere, ambience and surroundings entice you. A career in environmental engineering can be challenging as the candidate is supposed to unfold the solutions for different environmental issues. Although a comparatively new career, environmental engineering is devoid of cut throat competition.

A graduate can find jobs in both public & private sector after the completion of the course. Forest Department, industries, urban development, water resources and agriculture are few of the public sector departments in which the aspirants can try their hand. Whereas some of the private sector areas that use the environmental engineer are fertilizer plants, distilleries, textile mills, mines, water treatment industries, refineries and food processing industries.

In terms of pay packages this field is somehow alluring. Candidates with B.E/ B.Tech in environmental engineering may receive an initial payment between Rs. 15K- Rs.30K per month.
