B.TECH IN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

WHAT THE COURSE IS ALL ABOUT

B.Tech in IT is a 4 year undergraduate programme where Computers and Technology are the focal points of this course. The comprehensive study of software and programming is included in this programme.

ELIGIBILITY

Any aspirant can join any of the University after the finalization of higher secondary education i.e. 10+2 with Science stream. There is a bright career option after completing the course.

COURSE CURRICULUM

Subjects such as software development, networking, computer architecture and design, programming, operating systems, multimedia and graphics, data communication, data mining etc have been included in the syllabus so as to provide the basics of these concepts. Specialized knowledge is imparted on the analysis and design of information systems, artificial intelligence, mobile communication, soft computing, expert systems, information security, web engineering. In auxiliary, there are different electives related to emerging IT areas such as cloud computing, neural networks, real time embedded system, IT in forensic science etc.

WHAT THE STUDENTS LEARN

The student learns the methods to program electronic equipment during the course of B.Tech in Information Technology such that it works according to the given directions. 

The student learns to develop software after finishing B.Tech in Information Technology which is the basic requisite of different software firms. B.Tech in Information Technology is offered by a number of institutes, colleges and universities in India. 

WHAT DOES THE SOFTWARE ENGINEERS DO

During programming or coding, the software engineers instruct a computer, line by line to execute a desired function. Software engineers must possess strong programming skills, but are generally more concerned with developing algorithms and analyzing and solving programming problems than with actually writing code. They need to design, test, construct and maintain computer applications software or systems to meet these requirements. 

CAREER PATH

IT is very challenging & fast-paced field. In almost all employment fields as in arts, medicine, finance, defense and several other areas IT Specialists are needed. Few of the prominent IT firms recruiting B.Tech in Information Technology are TCS, Wipro, Infosys, HCL Infotech, Accenture, IBM, etc.   

These professionals are highly demanded in public sectors also. BSNL, ISRO, CDIT, CDAC, etc. are few of the renowned public sector firms recruiting graduates of IT. Banking sectors are also open for them.
