B.TECH IN MECHATRONICS

MECHATRONICS: SYNOPSIS

Mechatronics is best known as Robotic Science where this branch has extended applications as in Robotics, aircraft engineering, biomedical systems and computer-aided design and Nano Technology. In direct response to the industrial demands for engineers with multi-disciplinary skills, B.Tech in Mechatronics branch has been developed as a combination of mechanical engineering, software engineering, system design engineering, computer engineering, control engineering, electronic engineering. One of the comprehensive new generation courses i.e. Mechatronics is looming, having enough career potential within the country and abroad.

The fresh engineers after completing this course are permitted to construct, design and run factory production lines and automated processes.

WORK RESPONSIBILITY

The main responsibility of a mechatronics engineer is to assemble the principles of mechanics, electronics and computing in an uncomplicated and simpler form in order to generate a source which can make the human work easier.

WHERE A MECHATRONICS ENGINEER CAN USE HIS COMPETENCE?

To get hike in the production, productivity as well as profitability, most of the industrial employers are endeavoring to lessen the number of employees by hiring Mechatronics engineer to reduce one-third number of engineering staff.

A Mechatronics Engineer exercises his skill as a technologist who acts as the chief person of a multidisciplinary engineering team in the execution of engineering projects.

ELIGIBILITY

The desirous student who wants to pursue this course must have completed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with minimum 50% marks. It is compulsory to qualify in the Joint Entrance Examinations (J.E.E) for IITs.

CAREER PROSPECTS

After finishing the post graduate programme in mechatronics, the student gets a career hike consisting positions such as an application engineer, system engineer, product development engineer or any engineering role that needs competence in understanding interdisciplinary issues with observation.
Successful completion of the programme will also render you with a basis for senior project manager role in product development in industrial sectors as in automotive engineering, automation systems, shipping, aerospace or hardware/software development.

REMUNERATION

Mechatronics engineering is one of the most challenging and gratifying fields. A Mechatronic Engineer working abroad can get handsome salary. A Mechatronic engineer's income principally counts upon their qualifications, organization and experience. A fresh graduate can start the job with initial salary of Rs 5-6 lakhs per annum. The additional benefits consist of holidays and vacations, paid retirement plans, and health insurance.
